Dearest
There you are the darkest wings,
A creature beautiful as all things,
I feel the danger you could be
If only you felt hate to me.
Seeing all that's in your eyes,
Do not fault me for surprise.
No one could be any different,
Feeling all the thoughts are spent.
How did this all come to be?
I don't know if I could see,
As everything comes to be clouded
I wonder why my heart's been sounded.
Am I under some dark spell,
The origins you dare not tell?
Your arms are warm and loving now,
But hesitance you do avow.
Something scares you of my love,
True and innocent as above,
But still at this I will not say
For in the end, I'd have to pay.
The bliss is not complete at all,
The walls we build are just too tall,
I want to let you see the past,
But away your own too must be cast.
There's something there within your mind,
A bit of fear not left behind,
Is there no unlocking your wall
To find the need I try to call?
I see the glinces of your truth,
You're more poetic than uncouth,
But would another see like me
The beauty that is all too key?
Yet as I say these words alone,
I know the walls with soon atone
For keeping me away so long
When happiness is not far gone.
So let me end with great delight,
This quest of mine now in the right,
I'll tear them down with tooth and nail
If only then my dreams will sail.
